Delete your esen. account

Leaving is allowed. Here's exactly how, and exactly what happens to your data.

App: esen. · Developer: Esen Collective Labs Pty Ltd (ACN 701 828 248), Australia. This page exists so you can request deletion of your account and data whether or not you still have the app installed.

Option 1 — delete inside the app (fastest)

Open esen. and sign in.
Go to Settings → Account.
Tap "delete account." and confirm.

The app may ask you to re-enter your password to confirm it's really you. Once confirmed, your account and everything listed below is deleted.

Signed in with Google or Apple? If the in-app step asks for a password you never set, you won't be able to finish there yet — this is a known gap we're fixing. Please use Option 2 below and we'll delete your account for you.

Option 2 — email us

If you've already uninstalled the app, can't sign in, or signed in with Google or Apple, send a request to:

To protect your data, please send the request from the email address on your esen. account, or tell us which email you signed up with. We won't delete an account without being reasonably sure the request came from its owner.

We aim to acknowledge your request within [TYPICAL RESPONSE TIME — e.g. 5 business days; placeholder, confirm], and in any case we will respond within 30 days, as our Privacy Policy promises.

What gets deleted

Deleting your account removes all of the following from our systems:

Your Firebase Authentication account — your login (email/password, or the Google/Apple sign-in link).
Your user profile — the document holding your name or nickname, email, routine mode, reminder settings and display preferences.
Everything you created in the app, stored in these seven collections:
- journalEntries — your capture. (journal) entries
- dailyCheckins — your daily capacity-state check-ins (Ease, Expand, Extend, Exhale)
- fixedResponsibilities — the fixed commitments you entered
- tasks — your tasks
- goalProgress — your goal progress
- noticeEntries — your notice. (affirmation) entries
- shiftTemplates — your saved shift templates

Whichever route you use — in-app or email — the same full deletion is carried out.

What is kept, and for how long

Personal data: as set out in our Privacy Policy (Section 7), if you delete your account, all personal data is permanently deleted within 30 days.
Anonymised, aggregated usage data (which cannot identify you), including crash and performance diagnostics collected via Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics and Performance Monitoring, may be retained for product improvement purposes, as described in Sections 5 and 7 of the Privacy Policy.
We don't keep a copy of your journal entries, check-ins, tasks or goals after deletion.

[CONFIRM WITH LAWYER] Whether any short-lived infrastructure backups or logs held by Google Firebase need to be described here, and if so for how long. Nothing has been written about them above because the Privacy Policy is currently silent on it — this is a question for the lawyer, not a statement.

Want to delete some data but keep your account?

Email us at the address above and tell us what you'd like removed (for example, all journal entries). We'll confirm what we can do and how long it will take. You can also delete individual entries, tasks and goals inside the app at any time.

Changed your mind?

Deletion is permanent and can't be undone — we don't keep a recoverable copy. You're always welcome to create a new account later, but it will start fresh.
